Midwifery Apprentice:
We are looking for candidates with a passion for natural, out-of-hospital birth with a goal of becoming a Certified Professional Midwife. (CPM) The candidate must be committed, enthusiastic, and eager to learn! She should relate well to mothers and their families, and have the desire to serve others in accordance with the "Midwives' Model of Care".
Training will be in office, home, and birth center setting by myself; I am a NARM approved preceptor.
Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Previous birth experience preferred
Reliable transportation
Reliable childcare (at moment's notice)
Current CPR and Neonatal Resuscitation certification (may complete this in the first 3 months of apprenticeship)
Personal cell phone
Availability to be on call for the days/times we agree upon
Commitment of 3-5 years towards CPM apprenticeship (this will include attendance at a mixture of office days, postpartums, and births, as well as monthly assistant meetings and other trainings.) A six month trial period will need to be completed before any signatures for NARM are acquired)
Birth Assistant
We are looking for multiple candidates possessing a passion for natural, out-of-hospital birth with a desire to serve women and their families, as well as gain birth knowledge and experience (may be used for doula certification). She should relate well to mothers and their families and have a desire to encourage mothers in their journey and birth experience. This position does allow for some flexibility with days/times for on call schedules. This position is voluntary, with the potential to become a paid position; this will depend on whether there are current student midwives in training or not.
Training will be in office and birth center setting.

High school diploma or equivalent
No birth experience necessary
Reliable transportation
Reliable childcare (at moment's notice)
Personal cell phone
Availability to be on call for the days/times agreed upon.
Commitment to attend 2 office days (or evenings) per month
Commitment to attend monthly assistant meeting
Three month minimum commitment (due to confidentiality)
